About SARA4UNFC
Welcome to our web tool for the assessment of materials recovery and recycling projects aligned with United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC),
developed as a part of the FutuRaM (Future Availability of Secondary Raw Materials) project.
FutuRaM is an innovative Horizon Euroupe (HE) project dedicated to securing the supply of secondary raw materials (2RM) and critical raw materials (CRM) in the EU.
The Structured Anthropogenic Resource Assessment for UNFC (SARA4UNFC) is a result of the collaborative efforts and expertise within the FutuRaM project.
It leverages the power of the UNFC, a unique and comprehensive classification system for all types of resources.
UNFC provides a holistic approach that considers three main criteria: the environmental-socio-economic viability (E-axis), the technical feasibility (F-axis) and the level of confidence in product quantities (G-axis).
By aligning your projects with the principles of UNFC, you unlock the potential to contribute to the overarching goal of a more resource-efficient and environmentally conscious society.
The SARA4UNFC is a user-friendly and easy-to-use web tool for project developers to define, assess, and classify projects through a comprehensive 7-stage procedure, with a focus on the recoverability of 2RMs from specific stocks and flows. The selection of the controlling factors, their categorization and the report of the results make the SARA4UNFC a basis for decision-making.
