Stage 1: Project profile (key information)

Key Message:

This case study was conducted in the "Pre-feasibility Phase".
The Pre-Feasibility Phase applies the seven-stage procedure, providing a systematic and detailed assessment of the Tailing Storage Facility Bollrich (Germany). It evaluates technical options, environmental and social impacts, economic viability, regulatory requirements, and project risks to determine whether the project should progress to a full Feasibility Study.
In Stage 1, the essential project information is refined and expanded to build upon the Screening results. This includes an updated project description, geographic location, and relevant project partners. This foundational dataset ensures clarity, traceability, and consistency for all subsequent stages in the Pre-Feasibility assessment.
